When Adam and Eve committed the first sin by eating from the forbidden tree, God promised to send a Messiah to save us from our sins. Angels appeared to the shepherds tending their sheep and announced the birth of Jesus. They went to the stable to pay him homage. At the same time, three kings followed a very bright star in the sky. They believed that the star would lead them to a new king. They found Jesus lying in the manger. To honour him, they gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
