Matthew Tague was born on the 13th of August 1974 and baptised into the Catholic Church two months later on the 13th of October. Matthew left the Church in his teens succumbing to the disease of alcoholism by age 17. After working in diverse careers from cocktail bartending to zoo keeping, Matthew achieved sobriety in March 2007 and 2 years later accepted Christ through an Alpha program run by an Anglican Church. He married his wife Jenna in 2010. Several years later he felt the call to ministry and headed off to Bible College. He read the Church Fathers during his first term of study and five months later came home to Holy Mother Church on the 21st of September 2015. Matthew became an Acolyte of the Diocese of Wollongong in May 2017 and a Benedictine Oblate with the Abbey at Jamberoo in November of the same year adding the name Hermann to his given name after Blessed Hermann of Reichenau. Matthew-Hermann and Jenna have 2 children and live on the south coast of NSW. Matthew-Hermann is now volunteering as the Event Coordinator at Parousia.
