Defying Death: Muslims Come Home to Christ - Fr Zakaria Botros - St Joseph Communications - 4 CD Set

One of the most striking figures of the Coptic Orthodox Church has been Abuna (Father) Zakaria Botros. He was an Orthodox priest who in 1964 had an evangelical experience of Christ, which changed the direction of his ministry. He started expounding Scripture and answering questions to one thousand or more people using relay and closed circuit television, every Tuesday and Thursday evening in the hall of his church, St. Mark’s. More Muslim converts have come to Christ because of Fr. Zakaria than any other time since the existence of Islam. In this four-CD series you will discover how God uses an ordinary person to achieve extraordinary outcomes, probably never achieved before in 1400 years of ministry to Muslims. In 1978 a new renewal movement, including tongues, healings, and other charismatic phenomena, emerged at St. Mark’s Church in Heliopolis, under the leadership of Father Zakaria Botros, attracting weekly crowds of 3,000 and baptizing 200 converts from Islam.

Not only did Fr. Botros preach for conversions to Christ and to strengthen believers, he also effectively rebutted accusations against Christianity made by Islamic leaders. He presented arguments, which challenged them to re-examine the validity of their religion, their holy book, the Qur’an, and their prophet Mohammad. His ministry to Muslims is so challenging, effective, and productive. This is a must have series as you hear a real-life St. Paul in the 21st Century.

Topics discussed:

- Is God 1 or 3 (Islam teaches that Christians worship 3 Gods)

- The inevitability of the doctrine of the Trinity

- Testimony of Islam to the doctrine of the Trinity

- Response to Quranic verse: “They are infidels who say God is Three”

- Is Jesus God or the Son of God?
