Excellent visual aid
I have found the Bible timeline to be a very helpful visual aid and reference point, bringing many aspects off biblical history together, such as what books were written when, what rulers were in place at that time and where the Israelites were up to.

Bible Timeline Chart
I love the Bible Timeline Chart because it really helps to situate the biblical stories most cradle Catholics would be familiar with both into the big picture of salvation history and God's ever expanding covenants but also references them to the background of what was going on in secular history at that time. And the layout is such that it really makes it easy to both understand it and memorize it.
